Oscar Melvin "Mel" Weaver, 92, died Friday, February 8, 1991 in St. George, Utah.
Born September 8, 1898 in Washington, Utah. He married Lilly Vay Sperry in 1944, she preceded him in death. Veteran of World War II. He worked in Salt Lake City from 1944-65, then returned to Washington, Utah. He centered his life around LDS Church activity and his community.Survived by brother, Franklin Hyrum Weaver, Las Vegas; sister, Mrs. Earl (Hattie) Stringham, Hurricane; nieces and nephews, and several step-grandchildren in the Salt Lake area, and many friends.
Funeral services, Tuesday, February 12, 1991, 11 a.m. at the Washington Main Street Chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment, Washington City Cemetery, under the direction of Spilsbury-Desert Rose Mortuary in St. George.
