Irene Napper Lloyd, 79, died February 7, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born July 17, 1911 in Smithfield, Utah to William Roy and Alveretta Smith Napper. Married Douglas Price Lloyd. She was a past State President of the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club, Inc., a member of the SugarHouse Local Organization, its past President, and honored by it as its Woman of the Year in 1982-1983. She was also a past President of the Provo BPW Local Organization, and gave innumerable hours of dedicated service to BPW at all levels. Her community involvement was wide and varied. She served as Director of Civil Defense Corps of Utah. Served 2 terms on the Governor's Commission on the status of women. She was a member of the Womens State Legislative Council of Utah, Womens Conservation Council, Ladies Literary Club, Salt Lake Council of Women, Utah Federation of Womens Clubs, Republican Womens Club, and the Free Foundation. Active member of the LDS Church.Survived by children, JoAnn Parson Bills, Carol Parson Johnstun, Jerry Ray Parson; step-son, Robert Flynn Lloyd; 22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; brother, Don Leroy Napper. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Douglas Lloyd; son, Edward (Eddy) Roy Parson; brother, Cyrus Edmond Napper.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 12:00 Noon, February 11, 1991 at the Salt Lake Stake 14th Ward, 142 W. 200 N. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, and Monday at the church 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
