Our kind and beloved husband, father and grandfather, Elden Keith Taylor, age 66, died February 5, 1991 at his home in Monroe, Utah.
Born June 16, 1924 in Sevier, Utah, son of Willard David and Leah Tanner Taylor. Married Marva Simonsen February 18, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Keith was a Veteran of World War II; serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a sheep herder and a cowboy. He took time from that to raise a family and to work at hard labor as a fencer with a few years of having to wear a tie. His last working years, he was employed by Monroe City, and in his last years, he was able to go back to the sheep herd and ride the mountains that he loved.Survived by wife, Monroe; five children, Lurana Bray, Magna; Douglas Keith, Salt Lake City; Mrs. O. J. (Leanne) Leddy, Monroe; Mrs. Keith (Janie) Rogers, West Valley City; Willie Thomas, Reno, Nev.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Lela Barney, Grantsville; Elaine Christensen, Tooele; Ilynn Pitts, South Jordan; Clinton, Post Falls, Idaho; and Ron, Sandy. Preceded in death by a brother, Virgil.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9th, at 1 p.m., in the Monroe Stake Center. Friends may call for viewing Friday evening, 6-8 p.m. at the Springer-Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, and Saturday at the church in Monroe, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial with military honors accorded by the Monroe American Legion Post #37 will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
