Police are investigating a Wednesday night drive-by shooting and possible connections to a local youth gang.
Sgt. Jay Foster said a 16-year-old girl was in the living room of her home, at 47 E. Angelo, when a bullet shattered the front room window and passed through a wall about one foot away from her at about 11 p.m. The bullet, possibly from a .38-caliber handgun, dropped onto a stuffed animal in the bedroom opposite the living room.As many as eight people were in the house, some of them asleep, at the time of the shooting.
Foster said the shot may have been fired from a large brown car driving by the house.
