The Magna Library is observing Black History Month with a Feb. 16, 2 p.m. program featuring master storyteller Joan Nabors.

The program is for the entire family and will feature African and Afro-American folktales.The library is at 8339 W. 3500 South.

Nabors is a teacher at the Salt Lake Institute for Learning and a child development specialist. She is a popular storytelling performer for numerous community groups and has been featured at the Marion Carter Storytelling Festival since 1987.

African artifacts and clothing will also be on display during the presentation.
