Beginning Thursday, March 7, the Orem Department of Public Safety will offer a Baby Sitter Safety Course for all prospective baby sitters from ages 9 to 14.The four-week course will include sessions on fire safety, police safety, the medical aspects of baby-sitting, and child care and entertainment.
The classes will be held at the Orem City Fire Station No. 1 at 300 E. 1000 South from 4 to 5 p.m. There is a $2 fee to cover the costs of films, materials and certificates.
The first 40 students to register will be enrolled, and, if there is interest, another four-week course will begin on March 8.
