A former aide to U.S. Attorney General Richard Thornburgh faces prison for using cocaine while a top Justice Department official and denying it.

A federal jury Thursday convicted Henry G. Barr, 47, of cocaine possession, conspiracy to possess cocaine and lying to the government about his drug use.Barr, who faces up to 12 years in jail and $510,000 in fines, will appeal the verdict, defense lawyer Charles Scarlata said.
