Rescue officials gave up hope Friday of finding any survivors in the wreckage of a Greek military transport plane that crashed with 63 people on board.

The C-130 Hercules was spotted by a military helicopter Friday on a 4,900-foot cliff on Mount Othris, in central Greece. Special army units digging through seven feet of snow have recovered 38 bodies so far.The plane crashed Tuesday during a 30-minute flight. It carried a crew of five and 58 passengers, mostly young air force conscripts.
