Lance Irvin hit a jumper at the buzzer to give Idaho a 58-56 victory over Weber State Thursday night in a Big Sky Conference game.
Idaho (12-8 overall, 6-3 in the conference) led at the half 26-25, but Weber State (9-11, 4-5) scored seven unanswered points after the intermission to take a 32-26 advantage.The Vandals trailed throughout much of the second half until Deon Watson hit a jump shot, giving Idaho a 51-50 lead with 5:03 remaining.
The Wildcats tied the game for the last time with 35 seconds left when Tony Nicholas converted a jump shot to make it 56-56.
With a second remaining, Irvin gained control of a tipped ball off a missed shot by Otis Mixon and hit his game-winning shot.
Idaho's Sammie Freeman led all scorers with 19 points.
Al Hamilton and David Baldwin each scored 16 points to lead Weber State.
