A Centerville man died Wednesday night after he was thrown from his car when it rolled near the Beck Street exit of I-15.
Killed was:Charles S. Noble, 19, Centerville.
Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Tracy Cartwright said Noble was driving his 1967 Camaro southbound at a high rate of speed on I-15 in the center lane about 6:25 p.m.
When he changed lanes to exit at Beck Street, Noble lost control of the car, which rolled twice. Noble and one of his passengers, Curtis R. Kemp, 17, Bountiful, were thrown from the car, Cartwright said.
Noble was declared dead on a helicopter en route to LDS Hospital. Kemp was taken to Lakeview Hospital, where he was in critical condition Wednesday night.
A second passenger, Leroy Taito, 19, West Valley City, was also taken to Lakeview, where he was treated for minor injuries and released, Cartwright said.
None of the accident victims was wearing a seat belt, Cartwright said.
