R. Paul Larsen, vice president for extension and continuing education at Utah State University, has been named Conservation Partner of the Year by the federal Soil and Conservation Service in Utah.

The award goes annually to an individual not employed with the SCS who promotes wise use of soil, water and related resources, said Francis Holt, state conservationist for the service."I can't think of anyone who has done more to ensure the long-term viability of Utah's most precious natural resources," Holt said. "Dr. Larsen's efforts will benefit Utahns for many generations to follow."
