Roger H. Hendrickson, age 54, died at home on February 5, 1991 of natural causes.
Born on May 19, 1936 in Flaxville, Montana to Louis and Ada Lucille Enslow Hendrickson. He attended school in Montana, and graduated from the University of Montana. Married Julia (Judy) Stengem in Havre, Montana; later divorced. Employed by the IRS for 27 years before medical retirement. He spent the last five years as a loyal volunteer for Utahns Against Hunger. As a former member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Salt Lake, he served on a number of committees and held several offices.Survived by three sons, Roger (R. L.) and wife Louise, Santa Ana Heights, Calif.; Randall (Rand); and Robert (Rob), both Salt Lake City; granddaughter, Tamra Michelle; brothers, Ralph and wife Virginia; Marvin and wife Shirlene; and Wayne, all of Salt Lake City; Charles (Chuck), Great Falls, Mont.; sisters, Doris Rada, Salt Lake City; Marlene Dalrymple Brown and husband Harold, Bountiful; Shirley Eberling and husband Harry, Lancaster, Calif. Preceded in death by brother, Louis.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 8, at 10 a.m., at the St. Ann's Catholic Church, 2100 South 500 East. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, where friends may call Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Elysian Burial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Utahns Against Hunger, 845 West 100 South, SLC, Utah 84104.
