Betty Lorraine James Deamer Critchlow, 63, died Saturday, February 2, 1991 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City of a cardiac arrest.

She was born November 19, 1927 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Harry Gormon and Carrie Thomas Newey James. She married James R. Deamer on February 21, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced. She married Leslie R. Critchlow on October 10, 1973 in Pleasant View. She was reared and educated in the Ogden area, attending the Weber County Schools where she graduated from Weber high School. She also attended Weber College. She was a member of the LDS Church. She had been a credit manager for Doctor's Business Management Services in Salt Lake city. She will be deeply missed by all her children, grandchildren and friends.Surviving are her husband of North Ogden; three sons and two daughters, Terry James and Heidi Deamer, South Ogden; Lindsay R. and Terry Deamer, Roy; Rick Eugene and Lynn Deamer, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Rick (Lorie) Larsen, Bountiful; Mrs. Terry (Cindy) Smith, North Ogden; three step-sons and one stepdaughter, Steven and Ann Critchlow and Chris and Sandy Critchlow, all of Pleasant View; Bart and Pam Critchlow, North Ogden; Joan Critchlow, North Ogden; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Harry G. James Jr., Ogden; Max James, Bountiful; Dennis James, Provo. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Eugene James, and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment, North Ogden Cemetery.
