Hazel Stohl Jensen, 94, died in Salt Lake City February 3, 1991. She was a school teacher for more than 40 years, principally at the Douglas School from 1922 until her retirement in 1961.

She was born in Corinne, Utah to Oleen N. and Sarah Peters Stohl. Her early education was in Brigham City. She married Ray Jensen on September 20, 1918, he died May 27, 1920.They had one son, Raymond S. Jensen, who survives with his wife, Zela. Other survivors are three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; also two brothers, Lloyd O. and Clark N. Stohl, both Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Following retirement Hazel was active as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for several years. She was a devoted member of the LDS Church, serving as executive and teacher in all the auxiliaries.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 1991 at 10 a.m. at Mackay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, where friends may call from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment: Brigham City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Mackay Cottonwood Mortuary. Family suggests contributions, in her memory, to the American Cancer Society/Utah Division.
