-Newell Blood Morgan, 69, died Sunday, February 3, 1991 from complications following heart surgery at Humana Davis North Hospital in Layton.He was born March 23, 1921 to George Edward and Elizabeth Blood Morgan in Layton. He married Jane Lorraine Green December 8, 1939 in Coalville, Utah. He retired from Hill Air Force Base as a production controller after 32 years of service. He was a member of the LDS Church, Layton 14th Ward. He enjoyed many hobbies including repairing wrecked cars and restoring them. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Layton; two sons, one daughter, Val and wife, Jean Morgan, Layton; Lynn and wife, Ruth Morgan, Salt Lake City; Lesley Morgan, Layton; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; also surviving are three brothers, one sister, Howard Morgan, Kaysville; Malcone Morgan, Layton; Rodney Morgan, Fruit Heights; Marcia Morgan, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 North Fairfield Rd., with Bishop Kent J. McMillan officiating. Viewing Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45-10:45. Interment: Kaysville City Cemetery. Military honors accorded by VFW.
