Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg unveiled a 3-foot plaster model of a bronze statue of her late father, John F. Kennedy, that will stand in front of the Massachusetts capitol building in Boston.

"There are many memorials to my father in this country and around the world," Schlossberg said. "But of all of them, this one in the state he loved means the most."

On May 29, 1989, which would have been Kennedy's 72nd birthday, dignitaries and family members are slated to gather for the unveiling of an 8-foot-high bronze statue of Kennedy, striding forward, his eyes on the horizon.
