R. Paul Larsen, vice president for extension and continuing education at Utah State University, received the "Conservation Partner of the Year" award recently by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Soil Conservation Service in Utah.
The annual award is presented to an individual not employed by the Service for efforts in promoting the conservation and wise use of soil, water and related resources.Larsen is a 1950 USU graduate and received his doctorate in 1955 from Michigan State University. He has been USU Extension director since 1982. He sits on the International Science and Education Council, the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy and the International Committee on Policy. He is a Fellow in the American Society for Horticultural Science and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
