Byron B. Paulsen, 70, passed away February 3, 1991.

Born Jan. 21, 1921 in SLC, Utah to Paul I. and Karen Berntsen Paulsen. Following the death of his mother, Karen, he was raised by his second mother Martha Weyland Paulsen.Graduated from the U of U. in Civil Engineering with honors in 1945. Married LuRee Kammerman, January 23, 1946. Marriage later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Oct. 23, 1973. Married Mary Peterson Miller, Aug. 1, 1975. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Byron was a building contractor. Owner and partner in Paulsen Construction Co. and ACME Crane Rental. President of the Associated General Contractors in 1984. Active in the LDS Church. Served a mission to Minnesota in 1941-1943. Served as bishop of the Parleys 2nd Ward.

Survived by his wife; Mary, mother; Martha, and children: Craig B. and M'Lisa Paulsen, Robert K. and Wynn Young, Fred K. and Barbara Paulsen, Chad K. and Karen Paulsen, Stan and Shanna Miller,Allen and Jenny Christensen, Philip Miller, 18 grandchildren, two brothers: P.H. Paulsen and Chris B. Paulsen, sisters: Delsa Paulsen, Marion Sjostrand, Ruth Salisbury. Preceded in death by sister Vivian Paulsen and Brother Howard B. Paulsen.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday Feb.7, 1991 at the Cottonwood 5th Ward, 6301 So. 2300 East. Viewing Wednesday Feb.6 from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive, and at the ward Thursday 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lytle Preserve, c/o Monte L. Bean Life Museum, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah 84602.
