Our kind beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Edith LoRene Thompson Harward, age 77, died February 3, 1991 at her home in Richfield.

She was born October 20, 1913 in Holden, Utah, a daughter of William Leslie and Eva Merinda Stephenson Thompson. She married Kendrick Harding Harward March 29, 1934 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died April 8, 1989. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She served twice as Relief Society President, Jr. Sunday School coordinator, Primary President; served on the Stake Relief Society Board. She and her husband served a mission as directors of the Los Angeles Visitors Center, 1982-83. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She served as president of the Richfield Study Club. She was the State President of League of Cities and Towns Auxiliary. She was the National Turkey Federation Auxiliary President.She was a Super Mother and a fantastically supportive wife.

Survived by children, Gaylord and Pauline Harward, Salina; Shanna and Rikard Pearson, Salt Lake City; Warren and Mary Lou Harward; Saundra and Blaine Breinholt, all Richfield; DeAnne and Bradley Ward, West Jordan; Marie and Don Peterson, Richfield; 38 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Elaine Nielson, Richfield; Homer Thompson, Mesa, Ariz.; Dan Thompson, Aurora; Alma Thompson, Pleasant Grove; Rose Winkel, St. George; Joy Johnson, Salt Lake City; and Paul Thompson, Richfield. Preceded in death by one son, Roger Harward.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 1991, at 2 p.m., in the Richfield 7th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer-Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
