Fern Speakman Kimball, 83, of Richfield, died February 3, 1991 at the home of her son in Richfield.
Born May 27, 1907 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada to William and Isabel Cooper Speakman. Married Royal G. Kimball November 2, 1925 in Kanosh, Utah; solemnized June 2, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died August 19, 1961.Graduated from Millard High School. She worked in the Recorders Office in the Millard County Court House and at the Millard State Bank in Fillmore. She then moved from Fillmore to Beaver during the depression where they lived for five years; they then moved to Richfield where her husband began working at the Richfield Commercial Savings Bank. After her husband's death, she worked at Hazel's House of Fashion in Richfield. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, crocheting, and reading. Active in the LDS Church, served in the Relief Society and Primary organizations.
Survived by his son, David Kay and wife Julie Kimball, Richfield; daughter-in-law, Sheren Kimball, Camarillo, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Karen, Bryan, Keith, and wife Juliann; Mrs. Dale (Kalene) Eyre, Kari, Kristi, and Marci; two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Duane Kimball; her husband; a granddaughter, Suzanne; and three brothers, Dan, Lyman, and Gene; three sisters, Stella, Florence, and Thera.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 11 a.m., at the Richfield 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 159 North 400 West. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial, Richfield City Cemetery.
