Behind a Purina Cat Classic record of 47.25 on beam, BYU's women's gymnastics team nabbed its second-best score of the season, a 187.70, to finish fourth at the Columbia, Missouri tournament.

The Arizona Wildcats finished first with a meet record 189.45, the Auburn Tigers were second with 197.90, the Missouri Tigers were third (187.76) and the Kentucky Wildcats fifth (182.95).Individually for BYU, senior Marianne Squires finished third on floor (9.70), fifth on beam(9.50), and fifth on bars (9.55) to qualify for Saturday's individual finals in those events. Sophomore Tammy Packard was third on beam (9.55) and freshman Christy McAdams finished third on vault (9.60) to also qualify for Saturday's finals.
