A wide array of political leaders Saturday demanded withdrawal of the 10,000 Pakistani troops deployed in the anti-Iraqi coalition in the Persian Gulf war.

Begum Nusrat Bhutto, co-chairwoman of the Pakistan People's Party, and former Prime Minister Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi were among the participants at the meeting, which included all major political groups in the country except the ruling Islamic Democratic Alliance.The group called on Pakistanis to observe a nationwide strike Feb. 10 to press for peace in the gulf.
