Zions Mortgage Co., an affiliate of Zions First National Bank, led all Utah retail mortgage lenders in 1990 with $191.3 million in loans or a 10.7 percent market share, according to Ronald Holmes, executive vice president.

Including wholesale loan production of $139 million, the company's total Utah share increased to 18.5 percent. Total company volume in Utah, Las Vegas and Tempe, Ariz., reached $383 million in 1990 for a gain of 14.5 percent over 1989.Zions Mortgage led all lenders in Salt Lake County for the second consecutive year with a 9.7 percent market share on volume of $91.2 million. The company also ranked number one in Cache and Davis counties with a 30.7 percent share in Cache County and a 14.5 percent share in Davis County, according to Rocky Mountain Statistics, a Utah-based mortgage statistics recording company.

Top individual loan producers in Utah for 1990 were Mitch Spackman with more than $16 million in loan closings and Debbie Anderson with more than $14 million.
