BYU's women's gymnastics team heads to Missouri Friday and Saturday for the Purina Cat Classic, which features schools with cat mascots. Included are the Missouri Tigers, ninth-ranked Auburn Tigers, 11th-ranked Arizona Wildcats and unranked Kentucky Wildcats. Friday's competition decides the team and all-around championships with Saturday dedicated to individual events.

The Cougars top the Cat Classic field with a season average of 187.825 and a computer ranking of eighth nationally."What I'm looking for in this meet is for us to stick all 24 routines," says Cougar Coach Brad Cattermole. "We have the kind of positive attitude that we need to do just that."

The Cougars are off to their best start ever. They opened the season with a 187.40 at Southern Utah and followed the next week with 188.25 at Utah.
