A day after the president made a revised peace offer to drug traffickers, the country's cocaine barons have said they are suspending their all-out war against the government.

"We have decided to reconsider the declaration of total war, and abstain from any military action for the moment," said a statement Wednesday from "The Extraditables," as members of the Medellin drug cartel call themselves. But the drug bosses insisted police were still "torturing, abducting and murdering" their friends.
