Two Salt Lake area schools, Eastwood Elementary and Churchill Junior High School, are members of the World Wise program of the Peace Corps.

At the Granite District schools, students are assigned a Peace Corps pen pal and learn about the culture and people where Peace Corps volunteers serve.The students write letters to volunteers overseas and exchange pictures and other materials.

Jodi Gornbein, a recruiter for the Denver office, was at the U. of U. Wednesday and will be at Utah State University the remainder of the week.
