Combat Engineers from the Utah National Guard, Company C, have been called to active duty and will leave for Fort Lewis, Wash., Monday, Jan. 28, at 4 p.m.

The City of Provo will send the 127 soldiers off with a ceremony beginning at 3:15 p.m. Monday at the National Guard Armory, 500 N. 200 West, according to Raylene Ireland, administrative assistant. The public is welcome.Company C will receive two weeks of training at Fort Lewis before being deployed to Germany, where some will be reassigned to the Persian Gulf.
