"The Book of Alma/The Testimony of the Word" is the theme for the sixth annual Book of Mormon Symposium at Brigham Young University Friday through Sunday, Feb. 1-3.

"This year's topic, the book of Alma, has a diverse internal structure and several deep doctrinal discourses that should result in fascinating papers," said Monte S. Nyman, associate dean of religious education at BYU.For more information, call 378-3559.

Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, the symposium will feature a variety of speakers.

Elder Dean L. Larsen, a member of the Presidency of the Quorum of Seventy, will speak at the end of the symposium in connection with a BYU 18-Stake Fireside in the Marriott Center at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
