Allwin Wiley Pierce, age 75, died at his home January 26, 1991 after a good and faithful life.

Born November 23, 1915 in Clear Creek, Utah to James Wiley and Sarah Clarissa Tidwell Pierce. Grew up in Wellington, Utah. Member of the LDS Church. Served two full-time missions for the LDS Church in the East Central States Misson, totalling more than 5 years. Veteran of WW II.Married Vennadel Compton December 16, 1955; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Retired from Bergen Brunswick in 1977 and worked as a security officer for the Federal Aviation Agency for over 14 years.

Survived by his wife, Vennadel Pierce; daughters, Ruby Larson, Kansas City, Missouri; Barbara Robison, West Valley City; and Debra Marsh, Riverton; 11 grandchildren.

Allwin will be long remembered for his unwearying service in the church and to anyone who would benefit from his help. Among other callings, he served as Bishop of the Redwood First Ward. His love for all living things was manifest in his green thumb and the extraordinary gardens he grew each year. We'll miss you, Daddy.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 noon, at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Tuesday, 11-12 noon. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
