Blanche Gribble Sullivan, 78, died in her sleep January 25, 1991 in Salt Lake City.
Born December 21, 1912 in Morrow, Ohio to Walter and Genevieve Warwick Gribble. Blanche was raised in Hagerman, Idaho. Married Kenneth J. Sullivan, August 31, 1935 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake. Graduated from St. Mark's Nursing School. She was a nurse at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake. Member of the Catholic Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, where she served on the Alter Society. Past President of Judge Memorial School PTA. She was chairperson of a volunteer group organized to provide school lunches to children at Judge Memorial School and was instrumental in raising funds to completely install new kitchen equipment.Survived by husband, Kenneth J., Salt Lake; children, Sister Barbara Sullivan C.S.J., Tucson/St. Louis; Robert J. Sullivan, Reno, Nevada; Kenneth J. Sullivan Jr., Las Vegas, Nevada; Nancy S. Taylor, Fountain Valley, California; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brother, Maryon Gribble, Gooding, Idaho; sister, Helen Bourdeau, Coalinga, California.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 670 So. 1100 East. Holy Rosary will be recited Monday 7 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Monday 6-7 p.m. Committal service, Mount Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in Blanche's name to Holy Cross Hospital.
