Winston Luther Shaw, age 79, died January 26, 1991 in Salt Lake City.

Born October 13, 1911 in Maypearl, Texas, a son of Hessie Lee and Bennie Lee Berry Shaw. Married LaRue Thomson, December 19, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died March 2, 1968. Married Ruth Mason, December 3, 1975. Active High Priest in the LDS Church. Served a mission to Hawaii 1977-78. Served as Ward Clerk for 16 years and Jordan River Temple worker for three years. Was a volunteer worker in Family History Department. Was a 32nd Degee Mason. Retired from US Air Force, also retired from Beehive Clothing Mills. Loved gardening and music.Survived by wife, Ruth, son, Lee, Berkeley, Calif.; grandson, Matthew; step-children, Karen R. Chamberlain, California; Mason and Beatrice Jacobs, Paul and Sharon Jacobs, Scott and Yvonne Jacobs, Tony and Carrie Jacobs, Steve and Jeri Jacobs, all Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Miriam Ashcraft, and Margaret Strickland, both Texas. Preceded in death by daughter, Carolyn L. Shaw, March 22, 1975.

Funeral services, Wednesday 12 noon, Taylorsville Gardens 2nd Ward, 4252 So. Bennion Rd. (1905 West). Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m., McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Rd., and Wednesday at the church, 11-11:40 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
