Classes on assertive behavior and preparing preschoolers for kindergarten are being offered the first week in February by the Parent Education Resource Center in Davis County.
The class on assertive behavior will teach persons to be assertive by equalizing the balance of power, not by overpowering, belittling or humiliating another.The class is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Monte Vista School, 100 S 200 East, Farmington. Cost is $3 per person or couple.
The preschool preparation class will be taught by Veloy Richards, a Davis School District educator. It will cover specific ways parents can give children the skills needed to adjust to school, including social, language and reading, art, writing, and independence.
The class will also be held at the Monte Vista School at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6. Cost is $3 per person or couple.
