The rich rhythms of African music and folklore will come to Brigham Young University's de Jong Concert Hall Stage Tuesday, Jan. 29, when Samite of Uganda shares his unique musical heritage in a BYU Performing Arts Series concert.

Tickets for the event, at $7 with BYU identification and $9 without, are available at the BYU Music Ticket Office, 378-7444.Samite's music is described as lyrical, rhythmic and joyous, drawing heavily from the Ugandan folk tales and stories passed on to him by his grandfather and coupled with the traditional rhythms of his homeland.
