As of Friday, the Family Support Center at Hill Air Force base had fielded 2,380 telephone calls concerning Operation Desert Storm - many of them from Air Force men and women heading to the Persian Gulf or their families.

The tally was included in an update provided by the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill. In addition to the phone calls, the center had 291 visitors, and 174 people attended public meetings that it sponsored. Another 894 were at the center's briefings.

According to the update, the Staff Judge Advocate's office handled 1,189 wills and helped with 5,950 powers of attorney.

The Ogden Air Logistics Center has processed 8,714 tons of cargo and 270 outbound cargo aircraft in support of the operation.
