Jordan School District anticipates an increase of 1.6 percent in its enrollment for 1991-92, with most of the new students expected in the secondary schools.

About 180 fewer kindergarten students are expected to enroll, and grades one to six will decrease by 720 students. However, the district foresees growth by 621 students in grades seven to nine and 667 in grades 10 to 12, school board members were told Tuesday night. A bulge that has been passing through the elementary schools will hit the middle and high schools next fall.Total enrollment for the 1991-92 school year is estimated at 65,948, based on surveys within each school's boundaries.
