The Idaho Potato Commission says it is facing a growing problem with infringement of its "Idaho Potatoes" trade name, but it will double the budget for legal fees to stop it.

Executive Director Mel Anderson told a legislative meeting this week that publicity from winning a few lawsuits should stem what is becoming a growing problem.Anderson said the budget for legal fees is jumping from $77,000 to $150,000. The commission plans to spot check repacking companies across the country for violations.
