The public hearing on a new redevelopment area in Provo has been postponed for the second time.
After meeting with property owners, Redevelopment Agency Director Ron Madsen told the Provo City Council the owners were in the process of reviewing material presented to them. Madsen recommended the property owners be given more time to prepare for the public hearing. The public hearing on making a fourth redevelopment area for Provo will be next month. The proposed area is a 90-acre wedge in southwest Provo bordered by I-15 and University Avenue, extending north to about 1050 South.
The redevelopment designation gives the city an opportunity to rezone the area and plan for orderly development.
