It is in loving care that we release the spirit of such a lovely wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Stella Malnar Nickell unto the Lord this day.
This special lady died January 22, 1991 at the age of 59 in a Murray hospital just within days of being diagnosed with acute leukemia.Stella was born August 31, 1931 in Neola, Utah to Joseph S. and Rose Wilkerson Malnar. She chose as her companion in life Brent L. Nickell whom she married June 15, 1951 and together they raised four children. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her husband and her family were her whole life and she nurtured them into being good hard working individuals like herself. Her love of the outdoors provided her family with rich experiences as they hunted, fished and camped together. Her bounteous friends were always there to sustain her during her times of trials.
She is survived by her husband, Brent; and children, Mrs. Steve (Jolynn) Carlson, Sandy; Mrs. Yuen (Brenda) Lim, West Jordan; Larry and Karen Nickell, Sandy; and Debbie Nickell, Murray; six grandchldren, Travis, Ryan, Julie, Lisa, Cortney, and Jamie; brother, Glendon Malnar, Fruit Heights; sister, Mrs. Glade (Cheryl) Goodrich, Cedar City; mother-in-law, Nedra Nickell, Midvale. Also many loving uncles and aunts. Preceded in death by parents and brother Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 25, 1991 1 p.m. Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road, where friends may call Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Burial, Redwood Memorial Estates.
