Sherman Hardy Dangerfield, 75, died January 15, 1991, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, of heart failure.

He was born on August 28, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Albert Charles and Genevieve Woodford Hardy Dangerfield. He married Layne Lucille Hubbard in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 27, 1944.He was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from South High School. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many church callings. He fulfilled a mission in the East Central States and served many years in various positions in Scouting for which he had a great love. His talents were many, and he especially enjoyed working with wood and other materials. In 1980, he retired as an administrative staff employee at Brigham Young University. All will remember his enthusiasm for life, his love of family, and his wonderful sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Layne, Provo; one daughter and four sons and daughters-in-law, Mrs. Evan (Diane) Olson, Mesa, Arizona; Sherman Paul Dangerfield and wife, Lynell, Modesto, California; Mark C. Dangerfield and wife, Kathy, Mesa, Arizona; Bruce W. Dangerfield and wife, Meredith, Green Bay, Wisconsin; John W. Dangerfield and wife, Stephanie "Taffy", Tempe, Arizona; 25 grandchildren; brothers, Wilbert C. Dangerfield, Salt Lake City; Richard "Dick" L. Dangerfield, Murray.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 18, 1991 in the Pleasant View 3rd Ward LDS Chapel. Interment was held in the Provo City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Berg Mortuary of Provo.
