Family, friends and relatives are saddened by the loss of Noel Cecil Bell, age 78, who passed away after a lengthy illness, Saturday, January 19, 1991, at home.
Noel, the son of John and Ellen Bell, was born in Salt Lake City on July 18, 1912. He attended West High School in Salt Lake City. He married Martha Milius in the summer of 1934. Noel was a long-time member of Utah's banking community.Noel was active in the community through his church and various service groups including the Optimists Club, where he served as president. Fresh and salt water fishing with friends was a favorite past-time. Noel was also a president of the Utah Bowling Association. He was a long-time member and board member of the Oakridge Country Club and arguabley the club's finest left-handed player. His participation in all sports is best expressed by his induction in the Softball Hall of Fame.
Noel is survived by his widow, Martha; sons, Bruce, Jerry, Brent; his daughter, Diane Sanone; and ten grandchildren. His sisters, Mona Jackson, Crystal River, Florida, and Mary Wrede, San Francisco, California survive and share the family loss. Two brothers, Gowen and Edgar preceded Noel in death.
Since weather precludes service on the golf course, funeral services to celebrate Noel's life will be held Wednesday, January 23rd, at 1 p.m., at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Friends may visit with the family at the mortuary 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 22nd, or in the hour before the services on Wednesday. He will be interned in the Bountiful Cemetery immediately after the services.
