June Davis Thompson, 68, of Sandy, died Friday, January 18, 1991 in the Alta View Hospital.

Born on July 26, 1922 in Spanish Fork, the daughter of Glenn W. and Edna Wilson Davis. She married Richard Allen Thompson on October 4, 1941 in Los Angeles, California; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 2, 1971. She attended schools in Spanish Fork, graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She lived in Los Angeles for a few years, then moved to Milford, then Provo and Sandy. She is a member of the LDS Church, having served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake and Jordan River temples. She fought a valiant battle with cancer for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.Survived by her husband, Sandy; one son and one daughter, Richard Glen Thompson, Provo; Jeanne Anderson, Kaysville; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Deanne) Warner, Mrs. John (Dixie Lee) Edwards, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ahrend C. (Edna) Ahrendson; Susan Morris, both of Puyallup, Wash.; Glenda Cordner, Kaysville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Davis and Bud Davis.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., in the Sandy Central LDS Stake Center, 1050 Galena Drive, Sandy. Friends may call at the ward Relief Society Room, Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. or Tuesday, one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
