Edward Lewis Rushton, age 85, died January 17, 1991 in West Valley City,, Utah.

Born July 21, 1905 in Pleasant Green, Utah, son of Lewis James and Julia Caroline Larsen Rushton. Married Grace Afton Olsen May 27, 1925 in Murray, Utah; marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple February 24, 1927. Member of the LDS Church, High Priest, he served in the superintendency of the Sunday School and was a long time faithful home teacher. Retired from KCC after 35 years of service.Survived by three daughters, Mrs. John (Afton) King, Clinton; Mrs. Roscoe (Elaine) Williams, Taylorsville; Mrs. Terry (Doloris) Williams, Kearns; daughter-in-laws, Kathryn, Taylorsville; Jeannine, Kearns; Lorraine, Lehi; four brothers and three sisters, Chris, West Valley City; Sam, Holladay; Sylvester, Fillmore; Lewis, West Valley City; Lavina Grobstein, Sugerhouse; Rebekah Ek, Magna; Irene Jefferies, West Valley City; 24 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife and three sons, Melvin, Duane and LaMar.

Funeral services will be Monday, 2 p.m., at the Taylorsville 39th Ward, 4932 South 3200 West. Friends may call Sunday, 5-8 p.m., at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Monday, at the church, 1-1:40 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
