The Utah Council for Computers in Education and the Utah State Office of Education will co-sponsor a statewide conference Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1 and 2, in the ExpoMart, 230 W. 200 South.
Forty-two presentations will be made, beginning at 1 p.m. Feb. 1, and continuing through Feb. 2. Speakers will represent public and higher education, as well as computer vendors and other technologies. Keynote speaker during an opening-day dinner will be M. David Merrill, Utah State University professor and National Educational Technologist of 1990. The banquet will be in the Red Lion Inn.Alan Hofmeister, former dean of graduate studies, USU, will keynote the opening general session Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in the ExpoMart. Other speakers will include E. Curtis Fawson, director of the Utah Educational Technology Initiative, and Don Smellie, a member of the ETA technical advisory committee.
