Sylvain Couturier scored a pair of wrist-shot goals to extend his scoring streak to 33 points in a 14-game period, leading the Phoenix Roadrunners to a 3-1 IHL victory Saturday night over the Salt Lake Golden Eagles.

Martin Simard logged the Eagles' sole score at the 10:21 mark of the opening period, as Phoenix goalkeeper Mario Gosselin stopped Marc Bureau's breakaway shot. Simard scored on the rebound for his 17th goal of the season, knotting the score at 1-1.Of Simard's 17 goals, 11 have been scored against the Roadrunners.
