Robert D. Pavey, general partner of Morganthaler Associates, a high technology venture capital company, will give the keynote address during the 1991 Utah Venture Capital Conference Thursday, Feb. 7, in the University Park Hotel.
The conference is held to give a dozen of the Intermountain Area's most promising early-stage high-growth companies a chance to make a presentation to venture capitalists with the hope of enticing them to provide some venture capital.Pavey is president of the national Venture Capital Association, the leading trade organization in the venture capital industry, said Robert K. Rogers, chairman of the Wayne Brown Institute, conference sponsor.
The 12 companies seeking venture capital ranging from $500,000 to $6 million are Cyclo 3 pss Medical, Salt Lake City; Gateway Software Corp., Billings, Mont.; Mobile Data Systems Inc., Orem; Mytrex Inc., Midvale; Natural Product Services Inc., Salt Lake City; and RBI Inc., Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Others are Replicell Inc., Bountiful; TMA Technologies Inc., Bozeman, Mont.; Vectron Products, Salt Lake City; Vista Graphics, Salt Lake City; Your Box Moving, Orem; and Zevex Inc., Salt Lake City.
These companies were chosen by a panel to make detailed explanations about their operations.
