Albert Goode Sturdevant, age 80, died January 16, 1991 at the Woodland Care Center.

Born February 24, 1910 in Isabel, Louisiana to Garland Goode and Pearl Voth Sturdevant. He married Merle Hill on November 30, 1934 in Ogden. Their life together was filled with love and adventure. Al and his wife Merle enjoyed extensive travel in their 55 years of marriage.He belonged to the Portneuf Masonic Lodge F&AM in Pocatello, Idaho. He was a master carpenter and an award winning salesperson. He held a supervisory position with the Railroad for many years. His generosity touched many people around him. He was always willing to share his wisdom. He finished his life with character, grace, good humor, as well as incredibly great bravery. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

Survived by wife, Merle; three sons and one daughter, Steven, Salt Lake City; Zorah Say, Anaheim, California; Cpt. A. Ray Sturdevant, serving in the Persian Gulf; Fred A. Sturdevant, Seattle, Washington; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; twin brother, Frank, Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m., January 19, 1991 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So. Highland Drive, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
