United Savings & Loan has received permission from state regulators to change its name to United Savings Bank, company president Paul Neuenschwander said.

He said the new name will better reflect United Savings' financial services, which exceed those offered by a traditional savings and loans, although United Savings will remain a state chartered, federally insured savings and loan.The change also coincides with the $224 million institution's 30th anniversary.

United Savings and its subsidiary Western Mortgage service nearly 45,000 mortgage loans.
