Sylvia Joy Greenhalgh Kay, 57, of Orem, died January 16, 1991 at a Provo hospital.
She was born October 12, 1933 at Payson, a daughter of Arthur and Louise Money. She was raised by Lester and Louise Greenhalgh. She married Kent D. Kay February 28, 1955 at Ely, Nevada. They were later divorced. She was raised in Payson and Carbon County. She graduated from Carbon High School in 1951. She has lived in Salt Lake and Orem and been employed in various places in Salt Lake & Utah County.Survivors include a son and daughter, Michael Kay, Payson; and Toni Kay, Sandy; two grandsons, Shawn Kay, Mona and Sheldon Kay of Payson; two step-grandsons, Thomas and Dustin Swan; three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. James (Jackie) Bingham, Layton; Mrs. LaVear (Kaye) Reynolds, Payson; Tad Greenhalgh, Norwalk, California; Alan Greenhalgh and Mrs. Glen (Delores) Roper of Payson. Two children and a brother, Jay Greenhalgh, all preceded her in death.
Services will be Saturday 11 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, where friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. or Saturday 1 hour prior to the services. Burial, Payson City Cemetery.
