The Persian Gulf war has brought Utahns flooding into hospitals to donate blood.

Blood donation centers are urging donors to schedule their donations so a shortage can be avoided and blood supplies are evenly maintained.Since blood donors can only give blood once every 56 days, the best way to help is to either participate in regularly scheduled drives or call a center and schedule an appointment.

The following hospitals have centers for accepting blood donations: LDS Hospital, Cottonwood Hospital, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, McKay-Dee Hospital Center, Dixie Regional Hospital, Logan Regional Hospital, University of Utah Medical Center, Holy Cross, St. Mark's, Mountain View and St. Benedict's.
