Ninth-ranked Arizona State swept the BYU tennis team, 9-0 in Tempe Wednesday night.

The Cougars managed to win only three sets in the entire match with George Chingas, Herman Vandecasteele and the doubles team of Pate and Chingas winning the only sets.With the loss the Cougars fall to 0-2 on the young season. Arizona State remains unbeaten.

The Cougars are off for two weeks and will host Weber State on Jan. 30.
